Purpose

Hello everyone! Welcome to my new blog, which will hopefully be a fun and creative place for learning, debate, and thought. I'd appreciate your input about any posts, which will cover a wide variety of topics. These will include Judaism, history, literature, music, art, languages, philosophy and politics, all in the classical/Judeo spirit.

All these topics are covered by one umbrella word - culture. This will be the broad category into which any of my essays or arguments will be contained, and in which I hope we can find rich material for learning and argumentation.

Classical Student is an attempt to serve three basic purposes - that of debate, that of learning and that of philosophy. In every post I hope to aim towards these goals, with your help!
First and foremost, the purpose of debate includes all of my followers, whom I hope will join arguments and express their own opinions about culture and all it contains. I would love your comments, feedback, and thoughts about posts - disagreement will add flavor to Classical Student and is encouraged for the purpose of sparking thought and bringing out the deeper assets of an issue.

Moreover, I aim at promoting a blog centered towards learning - a place where we can educate ourselves and each other by sharing a wide variety of knowledge. It's important to use the intellect Hashem has given us, and to use it for His glory. One way to fulfill this is to cultivate a passion for learning, for discovering the secrets of  His creation, for challenging our minds, for sharing our knowledge with each other. I hope that this blog can be a place aiming at higher thought and the pursuit of wisdom.

My last purpose is that of generating ideas, creativity, and philosophical thinking. I love to speculate on the whys and wherefores of life, and I know my family and friends do as well - so why not do it here? Classical Student can become a place of throwing around theories and asking questions of life.
This post, I hope, will give you an idea of the aims of Classical Student and what it is about. I would appreciate your interaction in regards to ideas about the blog, arguments about posts, and thoughts in general! Thank you for joining me and I hope the experience proves to be a rewarding one. :)
